SUNUM ÖZETİ

Behçet Hastalığı (BD) 1937   yılında Hulusi Behçet tarafından tanımlanmış olup tüm sistemlerde her boydan arter ve venleri tutabilen sistemik bir vaskülittir. Etyolojisi halen bilinmemekler birlikte genetik olarak yatkın kişilerde bir enfeksiyonla tetiklenen immun cevap değişikliğinin patogenezle ilgili olduğu düşünülmektedir. BD çocuklarda nadiren görülür. Klinik seyri erişkinde olduğu gibidir. Tekrarlayan oral ülserler, genital ülserler ve oküler inflamasyon olur. Hastalığın ürolojik manifestasyonları çok nadirdir.

Bu çalışmada rekürren epididimoüorşitle başvuran 14 yaşında bir erkek hastayısunduk. Hastaya 18 ay önce başka bir klinikte testis torsiyonu öntanısıyla inguinal eksplorasyon yapılmıştı. bundan 3 ay sonra da BD tanısı konmuştu. Biz BD'nın nadiren epididimo-orşitle prezente olabileceğine dikkat çekmek için bu olguyu sunduk.

Behçet's disease (BD) is a systemic vasculitis affecting arteries and veins of all sizes in any system which was first described by Hulusi Behçet in 1937. The etiology of BD is still unknown, however it is thought that altered immunologic response is triggered by infections in genetically susceptible induviduals is responsible for the pathogenesis. BD is rarely seen in children. The clinical course of the disease in children is similar to that of the adults. Recurrent oral ulcers, genital ulcers and ocular inflamation occur. Urologic manifestations of the disease are very rare.

In this study we report 14-year-old boy presented with recurrent epididimoorchitis. He underwent inguinal exploration in another clinic 18 months ego because of he was to be supposed to have testiculer torsion. Three months later he was diagnosed as BD We aimed to take attention that epididimoorchitis can rarely be the first symptom of the BD.
